Private & Semi-Private Training

***** Note: I currently have a waiting list for athletes looking for ongoing private or semi-private training.

I may still be available for a consultation or a 60 Yard Dash Assessment. *****

I offer private and semi-private training to athletes of almost all ages and almost all sports.  I live in the far western suburbs of Chicago (Glendale Heights), and I currently see a majority of my athletes at the Gottlieb Center for Fitness in Melrose Park, Illinois.

Depending on my schedule and your exact training needs, on rare occasions I may also be available for training at an agreed upon location in the western suburbs.

Before continuing, you may be interested in understanding my training philosophy along with the aspects of performance enhancement that I do and do not specialize in. All of this information can be found here.

Please note that "live" training is only a part-time job for me since I also write and develop training products such as books and videos that I sell on-line. I often have a waiting list and getting in can sometimes be difficult (especially for in-season athletes).

I work for both the "Gottlieb Center for Fitness" and "Neurobody Performance, Inc". When seeing athletes at Gottlieb, I am acting as their employee and my clients make payments to them. However, when doing sessions away from Gottlieb (such as at a public park or field), I am acting as an employee of Neurobody Performance, Inc and payment is made to them.

Even though I am an employee of both Gottlieb and Neurobody, I am an independent contractor and I create my own schedule. In other words, I only get paid when I do sessions and everything outside of the session (such as invoicing, scheduling, writing programs, and answering phone calls/emails) is unpaid and done at my home office. Glendale Heights is somewhat of a significant commute to Melrose Park and I only make one trip in on any given day. Therefore, I try to schedule my clients back-to-back without gaps. Instead of sticking around for an (unpaid) hour or two, I'd rather be working at my home office on other tasks such as product development, program creation, etc.

Why am I giving you all of this information? Well, because I don't want you to take it personal if I am having a hard time finding a private training slot that fits your needs. At any given time, my client base is usually about 70% high school athletes, 20% college, and 10% professional and there are only so many after-school slots available for school-aged athletes between 3 and 9 PM. Throw in their crazy extracurricular activities and you can see how finding a time that works on both ends can be difficult. Some of my athletes do up to 4 sessions with me a week... meaning it doesn't take a lot of clients to keep me at capacity (since I usually offer about 25 total sessions a week). As of late, it seems I spend a lot of valuable time explaining why I might not be able to train you, or your child, and I'm hoping that this page can provide some of those answers.

With that being said, I think you'll find that pursuing private training with me is well worth the effort. If the details line up and you are able to get in, it usually results in a very rewarding experience for all involved!
